• New Belgium to reopen public taproom at Daleville brewery (fincastleherald.com) — A long-quiet Daleville brewery will reopen to the public Nov. 6 as New Belgium brings a new “Liquid Center” taproom to its Botetourt Center at Greenfield facility. Residents can expect beer, events and tours but no full-service restaurant, with food likely coming from outside vendors. More details on hours and opening-day activities are still to come.
   

• VDOT plans Route 220 intersection changes in Daleville (fincastleherald.com) — If you drive through Daleville on Route 220, be ready for new traffic patterns at Catawba Road and Valley Road as VDOT extends a turn lane and closes the Valley Road crossover. Drivers will need to use right turns, signals and U-turns instead of direct lefts to reach Valley Road. The safety-focused project has no announced completion date yet.
