Chantilly Man Dies After 2-Vehicle Crash On Pleasant Valley Road
A Chantilly man died after a crash on Pleasant Valley Road Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
CHANTILLY, VA — A Chantilly man died Tuesday after a two-vehicle crash on Pleasant Valley Road, according to Fairfax County police.
Officers responded shortly after 8:30 a.m. to investigate a report of a crash in the 4300 block of Pleasant Valley Road, police said.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling south on Pleasant Valley Road when it crossed into the northbound lanes and hit a 2001 Ford F450 Super Duty truck, police said.

The driver of the Honda, Daniel Tsequi Mehari, 52, of Chantilly, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Ford F450, an adult man, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police.

Police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors, based on the preliminary investigation. Detectives with the department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating what contributed to the crash.
