Run For A Cause At Fairfax Corner This September
The ASA Virginia RunFest will return to Fairfax Corner on Sept. 27 with a 5K, kids activities, food and virtual participation.

FAIRFAX, VA — Athletes Serving Athletes will hold its third annual ASA Virginia RunFest at Fairfax Corner on Sunday, Sept. 27, the organization announced.
The event will include a 5K that participants may run or walk, along with a children’s fun zone, food and coffee from Sugusto and ASA merchandise. Virtual participation will also be available.
Participants may form teams with friends or family members. Athletes Serving Athletes will offer incentives based on varying levels of team participation, according to the organization.

Proceeds from the event will support the nonprofit’s work with people who have limited mobility. Athletes Serving Athletes pairs those athletes with volunteer runners to train for and participate in mainstream running events.
The organization said its programs are designed to celebrate diversity, develop connections and create a sense of acceptance and belonging among participants.
