Police Seek Information After I-66 Shooting Injures Passenger In Fairfax County
Virginia State Police are investigating a shooting that injured a passenger on eastbound I-66 near Nutley Street in Fairfax County.
FAIRFAX, VA — A passenger was injured Tuesday night in a shooting on eastbound Interstate 66 near the Nutley Street interchange in Fairfax County, according to Virginia State Police.
The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. Sept. 22. People traveling east in a Toyota RAV4 heard a loud bang, and a passenger in the rear of the vehicle reported injuries, police said.
The passenger was taken to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening. The vehicle’s three other occupants were not injured, according to police.

Investigators found a gunshot impact in the vehicle’s left rear window. The shooting remains under investigation.
