Former VA Governor Part Of Group Seeking To Buy Local Irish Pub

Four Provinces has offered Irish pub food to Falls Church residents and visitors for nearly three decades.

Falls Church mainstay Four Provinces may soon change hands to a newly formed investment group that includes former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

According to the Falls Church News-Press, the group has filed to purchase an existing business and a state liquor license tied to the West Broad Street pub.

McAuliffe was one of three directors named in the filing, and a source "close to the matter" told the News-Press that he is a lead investor. The same source told the paper that current owner Colm Dillon will remain involved in the restaurant after the sale.
