56th Annual Candlelight Tour of Historic Homes

56th Annual Candlelight Tour of Historic Homes

Celebrate the holidays with Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc.’s 56th Annual Candlelight Tour!

Saturday, December 12, 2026: 11:00 AM–4:00 PM
Sunday, December 13, 2026: Noon–4:00 PM

Start your tour at Memorial Park in Fredericksburg, then explore five historic homes decorated for the season on Cornell Street, Prince Edward Street, and Sylvania Avenue.

This year’s tour celebrates the architectural legacy of Elmer Grimsley “Peck” Heflin. A Fredericksburg native, carpenter, and self-taught designer, Heflin helped shape the city through the homes and commercial buildings he designed and built. Discover his craftsmanship and the stories behind these distinctive homes while enjoying a favorite Fredericksburg holiday tradition.

Saturday Evening VIP Experience

Continue the celebration with a special tour of 1200 Washington Avenue from 5:00–7:00 PM, followed by the Train Station Crawl at The Alpine Chef and Colonial Tavern from 6:00–8:00 PM. Two drink tickets are included. An additional ticket is required for the evening experience.

Proceeds help HFFI protect Fredericksburg’s historic buildings and share the stories of the people and places that make our community special.

Tickets go on sale November 1. Visit HFFI’s Candlelight Tour page for tickets and more information.
