• Goochland questions Valley Link on proposed transmission line project (nbc12.com) — Goochland County officials and residents are pressing Valley Link for answers on a massive 765-kilovolt transmission line that could still cross about 1.3 miles of the county, down from 28 miles after public pushback. Supervisors have formally opposed the project and set aside $250,000 for advocacy, while neighbors continue raising health, environmental, and rural character concerns as route refinements continue into 2027. 
• PHOTOS: Multiple agencies respond after pickup truck found in James River (wric.com) — Emergency crews from Goochland and neighboring counties rushed to the James River near Tucker Park and Maidens Bridge after a pickup truck was found in the water early Friday. Med-Flight 1 and water rescue teams confirmed no one was inside, and Goochland deputies later located the owner safe and uninjured, though how the truck entered the river remains unclear.
