• Proposed Aurora Station at Dulles residences secure planning commission's support (ffxnow.com) — A large mixed-use project called Aurora Station at Dulles is advancing for a vacant 39-acre site just south of Herndon, near Frying Pan Road and Sunrise Valley Drive. Fairfax County's Planning Commission has recommended approval for a plan that could bring up to about 1,550 homes, retail space, and a possible grocery store, with final consideration by the Board of Supervisors in late October.
