Officers shared his clothing description and urged anyone with information to call their non-emergency line, underscoring the community's role in quickly reuniting him with his family.

States urge schools to use AI, but leave teachers on their own to stop cheating (insidenova.com) — A Manassas City Public Schools board member's proposal to add AI misuse and cheating rules to the student conduct code was recently voted down, leaving no specific districtwide policy on AI-generated schoolwork. As states and big districts nationwide struggle with AI cheating guidance, Manassas teachers and students are left with general conduct rules but no clear local standards or support for handling AI in classrooms.
   

3. Local Event: Patient Zero: An Exhibition (patch.com) — An immersive horror-themed art exhibition, "Patient Zero," is coming to ARTfactory on Battle Street in Manassas, with a free opening reception the evening of October 3. The show ties into the popular Factory of Fear haunted house, temporarily closing for standard viewing while artworks are integrated into the attraction before reopening for regular gallery hours through November 1.

5. Manassas man, brother charged in connection with fatal stabbing in Warrenton (insidenova.com) — A 23-year-old Manassas man and his brother from Williamsburg have been charged in connection with the Sept. 19 death of a woman in Warrenton, though not with murder. The Manassas resident faces counts including concealing a body, obstructing an investigation, and assaulting an officer, with a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 4 as police continue their active investigation.
