Watch ‘School Of Rock’ Under The Stars At This Free Tysons Bash

TYSONS, VA — Families can celebrate the new school year with an outdoor movie, music, crafts and other free activities Saturday at The Boro in Tysons.

The Back to School Boro Bash will take place from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Boro Park, 8350 Broad St. The event is free and open to the public, although advance registration is encouraged.

Festivities will begin with a live DJ and family activities at 7 p.m. An outdoor screening of “School of Rock” is scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m.

Activities And School Supply Drive

Other attractions will include school-themed craft stations, a do-it-yourself bedazzling station, glitter tattoos and a make-your-own candy bar. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from The Boro Biergarten outside Él Bebe.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the movie. Activities and giveaways will be available while supplies last.

The event will also feature a school supply drive benefiting Share of McLean, a nonprofit organization that assists families and individuals in McLean and nearby communities. Attendees may contribute new school supplies during the bash.

The rain date is Saturday, Sept. 12, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
