• Take Home a Piece of Mount Vernon: Fall Plant Sale Returns Saturday (thezebra.org) — Mount Vernon residents can shop historically connected plants at George Washington's estate this Saturday, Sept. 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fall plant sale features native and heirloom varieties, including the exclusive General's Choice line propagated from plants on the property, with free access to the sale area and discounts for Mount Vernon members.
