• Accomack Supervisors pass resolution asking to rename the Wallops Flight Facility honoring Eastern Shore Space Pioneer (shoredailynews.com) — A prominent NASA and aerospace leader, A. Thomas Young, now retired on Cedar Creek near Onancock, may soon have Wallops Flight Facility renamed in his honor after a vote by Accomack supervisors. The resolution recognizes his Eastern Shore roots and decades of work guiding landmark missions like Lunar Orbiter and Viking, as well as his leadership at NASA and Lockheed Martin.
