Fairfax County Public Schools Makes Calendar Change Affecting Eid al-Fitr Holiday Observance (patch.com) — Families in Vienna should be aware that Fairfax County Public Schools has adjusted how it will observe Eid al-Fitr in March, shifting which days are holidays and which are evening-only observance days. Students will now attend school on Monday, March 8, and Wednesday, March 10, with restrictions on major activities, while Tuesday, March 9, becomes the full holiday for both students and staff.

4. Navy FCU Announces Increase in Base Hourly Pay for Employees (thecudaily.com) — Navy Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Vienna, has raised its base hourly pay to at least $22 for eligible full- and part-time employees, effective Sept. 27. The credit union says the increase, along with its benefits and career development programs, is meant to help staff better support their families and communities while maintaining strong service for its 15 million members worldwide.
