• ChapStick theft leads Bellevue police to handgun and explosive in stolen car (kiro7.com) — Bellevue police say a routine shoplifting call on 156th Avenue NE led to the arrest of a suspect allegedly carrying a handgun and an improvised explosive device in a stolen car. Officers and the bomb squad safely secured and dismantled the device, and the suspect was booked into King County Jail on multiple charges, with potential explosive‑related counts still under review.
