ARE YOU A WRITER ON WHIDBEY? AN AVID READER? AN ADVOCATE FOR OUR PLANET? Join award-winning author, Kay Smith-Blum at the public library in the heart of town at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 23rd. KSB will discuss the extensive research and the literary craft behind her genre-defying novel, TANGLES. A Cold War love story wrapped inside a thriller that over 100 bookstagrammers have rated a 5-star read and that Net Galley readers agree is "a page-turning must read." If you are interested in improving your craft as a writer or researcher this talk is for you. If your an advocate for the earth in this month honoring our planet - and have only a passing knowledge of Washington State's role in the Manhattan Project, or are interested in the state of the environmental cleanup at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, this is a talk you won't want to miss! A robust Q&amp;A will follow the talk, and the author will personalize copies of TANGLES, provided for purchase by local bookseller, The Book Rack.

We are SO excited to be bringing this show back to beautiful Port 
Townsend this summer! We all love visiting this town because it has such
 a vibrant art/craft community, it is a wonderfully bustling town during
 the summer with many tourists, and it’s just a super fun place to be!
The Port Townsend Handmade Market will feature over 75 makers and 
artists selling handmade goods, as well as food vendors! We will be 
setting up along several blocks in the downtown area to showcase the 
best handmade products being made here in the Pacific Northwest. For 
those of you who have never been to an Urban Craft Uprising show, our 
events feature handcrafted goods including jewelry, housewares, 
clothing, toys, art, bath &amp; body products, paper goods, fiber arts, 
candles, and so much more!
Urban Craft has been producing craft markets since 2005. We have a 
large following in the Pacific Northwest, and we are so excited to 
showcase the talent of local artisans, and to introduce you to some of 
our favorite vendors from all around the Pacific Northwest. The Port 
Townsend Handmade Market will be free to attend, and a great way to 
support small businesses while finding unique gifts for wedding 
presents, housewarming gifts, birthdays, decor for your home, treats for
 others, and fun goodies for yourself!
