• Tukwila man faces rape charge in Renton trail attack (seattleweekly.com) — A Tukwila man has been charged with rape, robbery and assault after a woman was attacked while jogging on a Renton trail near the Seattle Sounders training facility. Renton Police say DNA from glasses left at the scene helped identify the suspect, who was arrested in Tukwila and is being held on $1 million bail pending arraignment.

• Northbound I-405 closures with Renton detour (rentonreporter.com) — Northbound I-405 will fully close between Exits 5 and 10 this weekend, sending drivers onto a signed detour that starts at Renton's N Southport Drive/Sunset Boulevard NE. The work is part of the I-405 Renton-to-Bellevue widening and express toll lanes project, aimed at improving travel times and supporting future bus rapid transit service through the corridor.
