• Mass fight in University Place prompts more police patrols (thenewstribune.com) — Increased police patrols are coming to the 40th Street West bus stop area in University Place after a fight involving 30 to 40 teenagers broke out there Thursday afternoon. Deputies say no one reported injuries, but ongoing problems like shoplifting, vandalism and harassment around nearby shopping centers have prompted a stronger after-school presence. Parents are urged to talk with kids about behavior and can share tips with the Sheriff's Office.
