• Alderson Public Library postcard project aims to connect all 50 states for America's 250th (therealwv.com) — Alderson residents are invited to help the Alderson Public Library collect postcards from all 50 states and every West Virginia county as part of America’s 250th birthday. Director Nathan is turning the project into a July 4th display and long-term keepsake, using mailed postcards and social media to connect Alderson with communities around the world while drawing more people into the library. 
• Justice honors fallen correctional officers (wtap.com) — Alderson hosted Sen. Jim Justice this week as he joined federal prison officials at FPC Alderson to honor 27 correctional officers nationwide who died in the line of duty. The ceremony, held during Correctional Workers Week, highlighted the daily risks officers face and Justice’s pledge to keep advocating for them in the U.S. Senate.
