Benedum Foundation awards RE-PATH $75K, boosting substance use recovery in WV (therealwv.com) — A Beckley-based recovery leader just helped secure a $75,000 Benedum Foundation grant for RE-PATH, a new statewide substance use recovery advocacy group. With Seed Sower’s Jay Phillips co-chairing from Beckley, the funds will support staff, training, office space, and travel to strengthen recovery efforts in rural West Virginia communities. 
2. Beckley man pleads guilty to drug crime (wvnstv.com) — A Beckley resident has pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine in multiple sales to confidential informants, including one in a local business parking lot. Federal prosecutors say he faces up to 20 years in prison, with sentencing set for August 7, 2026, following an investigation by the Beckley/Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Unit.

Resolution drafted to address threats against West Virginia judges (wvnstv.com) — In Beckley, state bar leaders are drafting a resolution after rising threats and online attacks against West Virginia judges, including concerns about physical violence.
