• Fayette County buys electronic poll books to secure elections (wvva.com) — Fayette County officials in Fayetteville have approved spending $100,000 on new electronic poll books to reduce errors and better secure future elections after non-Republicans voted in May’s closed GOP primary. Poll workers will soon use tablets to scan driver’s licenses, automatically assigning the correct ballot and cutting down on paperwork, storage needs, and staff time. A county commission hearing on the disputed votes is set for July 8.
