• Irish Cottage challenges Franklin on 30-day license suspension (bluewaterhealthyliving.com) — Franklin's Irish Cottage bar is fighting a 30-day liquor license suspension tied to a 2024 fatal drunk driving crash, and a judge has temporarily blocked the penalty. The bar's owner claims the city coerced her into accepting the suspension without a proper public hearing, while Franklin officials, including the mayor, are staying quiet during ongoing litigation. 
• Franklin man, 25, dies from gunshot at Eagle Sports Range in Cudahy (bluewaterhealthyliving.com) — A 25-year-old Franklin resident has died after being accidentally shot in the chest at Eagle Sports Range in nearby Cudahy on August 28. Police and range staff tried to save him before he was taken to Froedtert Hospital, and Cudahy authorities are still investigating how the incident happened.
