Children received free backpacks and supplies, then boarded small planes piloted by his son, who hopes to inspire future aviation careers and plans another giveaway on Monday.

Milwaukee Fire Department crews quickly put out the blaze, while the Red Cross and neighbors stepped in to help, and police and fire officials continue investigating what sparked the incident.
   

• Six people hurt in four separate shootings in Milwaukee (wisn.com subscription) — Four separate shootings across Milwaukee on Saturday left six people injured, including a 1‑year‑old, in incidents stretching from Sherman and Capitol to 41st and Garfield. Police say two drivers exchanged gunfire in a road‑rage clash, and investigators are still working to identify one victim and piece together what happened at each scene.
