Jackson of Milwaukee and injured another man. Investigators used surveillance and Flock license plate cameras to trace a tan Ford Focus, while Ford's ex-girlfriend says he admitted to the shooting.

Milwaukee neighborhood in darkness during deadly police shooting investigation (wisn.com) — A Milwaukee neighborhood near 37th and Wright was left in darkness during a deadly police shootout that injured an officer, killed a suspect, and left another on the run. Residents say broken streetlights, tied to wider outage issues across Milwaukee, hampered the investigation as city officials and the Common Council prepare to address the problem.

Milwaukee mayor, staff help with Habitat for Humanity home build (cbs58.com) — Milwaukee's mayor and his staff joined volunteers on a Habitat for Humanity build near 6th and Locust, helping construct one of 40 affordable homes planned this year.
