1. Waukesha residents frustrated over crumbling Foxwood Trail sidewalks (gmtoday.com) — Residents on Foxwood Trail on Waukesha's south side say crumbling, tree-damaged sidewalks are forcing people into the street and creating serious safety risks, especially on the hill. City officials acknowledge the problem but say full replacement is likely five years away under Waukesha's sidewalk program, offering temporary patches or homeowner-funded early repairs in the meantime.
   

2. Waukesha firefighters urge drivers to pull over especially at deadly intersection (dailydispatch.com) — Firefighters in the Village of Waukesha are warning drivers to pull over promptly for emergency vehicles at Highway 164 and Lawndale, a crash-prone intersection near Fox River Christian Church. The spot has seen nine serious crashes, including one fatal, in the past two and a half years, and crews say too many drivers still fail to yield when ambulances approach.
   

3. Waukesha students return to class amid elementary school closures (wisn.com) — Families in Waukesha are starting the school year with fewer neighborhood schools after the district closed three elementary campuses and consolidated its STEM programs into the new Waukesha STEM Academy. Officials say the downsizing meets a $3.2–$3.7 million savings goal and prepares for declining enrollment, with a Sept. 8 meeting planned to explain the financial impact to parents and residents.
   

4. New directors bring experience and vision to WELS ministries (forwardinchrist.net) — Two new leaders are taking key roles at the WELS Center for Mission and Ministry in Waukesha, bringing deep experience in investment management, stewardship, and communications. Their work will shape how WELS ministries manage funds, plan gifts, and share stories, potentially influencing how local congregations and community-focused programs are supported across the area.
   

5. Investiture ceremony held for Judge Guza (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha County now has a new Branch 3 circuit court judge, Jeremy Guza, formally sworn in after his appointment by Gov. Tony Evers. A military veteran and longtime attorney, Guza emphasized service, hard work, and respect for the rule of law as he steps into a role that will shape how local cases are heard and decided.
