• Waukesha School District ready to start new school year (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha families can expect school buildings to be ready early, with staff already moving into freshly reorganized campuses and average elementary class sizes edging down to about 20.5 students. Under the Optimizing Our Future plan, several buildings have closed, others reopened on a tight summer schedule, and new technology plus a redesigned website and app aim to improve classroom tools and family communication.
   

• Waukesha County Green Team to host 2026 Farm to Fork Fundraiser (gmtoday.com) — An upcoming Farm to Fork fundraiser in Delafield on Sept. 13 will support the Waukesha County Green Team's work across Waukesha County, from native habitat restoration to renewable energy education. Attendees can enjoy a locally sourced lunch, live music, nature walks along the Bark River, and a tribute to longtime conservationist Marlin Johnson.
