Several other players from Cullman, Good Hope, Hanceville and Holly Pond also grabbed second-team and honorable mention spots, showcasing the depth of softball talent across Cullman County schools.

2. Second suspect in Huntsville arson, murder-for-hire plot found dead in Cullman (wbrc.com) — Cullman County investigators say the second person wanted in a Madison County arson and murder-for-hire case has been found dead after an intensive search in Cullman County. Both suspects, previously out on bond, were discovered deceased in separate locations in Cullman, and authorities have not yet released causes of death while the investigation continues.

Cullman Rotary recognized for ‘service above self' (cullmantimes.com) — Cullman’s Rotary Club is racking up district honors, including a Service Above Self award for member Tesha Brewer and multiple citations for youth, community, and international service. With 60 active members, the club meets Thursdays at noon at St. John’s and welcomes anyone interested in serving the community.

(cullmantribune.com) — Cullman residents can learn to grow, make, and safely preserve fresh salsa at the Alabama Extension’s Garden 2 Pantry “Salsa Soiree” workshop on Tuesday, June 16, at the North Alabama Agriplex. For a $15 fee, attendees get expert guidance, a recipe, nutrition tips, and a jar of salsa to take home.
