The announcement was disclosed through the Alabama Department of Workforce's Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) list, which tracks planned plant closures and mass layoffs throughout the state.

The WARN program is intended to provide advance notice of certain plant closures and mass layoffs, allowing affected workers and communities time to prepare for potential job losses.

The notice does not specify the reason for the Cottondale closure or whether employees will be offered transfers to other company facilities.
