SELMA, AL — A Plantersville man was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Dallas County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Leonard E. Parten Jr., 59, was driving a 1992 Ford F-150 that left the roadway and struck a tree at about 9:10 a.m. Friday, June 5.

Troopers went on to say Parten was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened on Alabama Highway 219 near the 7 mile marker, roughly three miles north of Selma.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
