University Of Alabama Gearing Up For Spring Commencement
The University of Alabama will confer degrees on more than 5,000 students during its spring commencement ceremonies

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University of Alabama will confer degrees on more than 5,000 students during its spring commencement ceremonies, which are set for May 1–3 at Coleman Coliseum.

University officials said 5,282 degree candidates are expected to graduate as part of the Spring 2026 class.

Ceremonies will begin Friday, May 1, at 1:30 p.m.
Graduates this spring achieved an average GPA of 3.515, according to the university. The class includes 676 first-generation college students, 60 military veterans and 23 active-duty service members.

Students receiving diplomas represent 41 countries, 49 U.S. states and 67 of Alabama’s 67 counties.
In line with UA Athletics facility procedures, attendees will be required to follow the university’s clear bag policy and metal detectors will be used at all entrances.
