• Wetumpka man faces murder charge after boat crash (montgomeryadvertiser.com) — A Wetumpka resident has been arrested and charged with reckless murder and first-degree assault after a March 7 boat crash on the Alabama River in Montgomery County that injured three people, one fatally. State marine investigators say the 30-year-old Wetumpka man was operating the vessel and is now held in Montgomery County Jail on a $90,000 bond while the investigation continues.
