• Armed police standoff in Fort Smith with shots fired leads to arrest (nwahomepage.com) — An armed domestic disturbance on Fort Smith's south side escalated into a standoff after a man allegedly fired multiple shots at responding officers, leading police to call in SWAT and negotiators. The suspect ultimately surrendered and now faces several aggravated assault charges, with a court appearance set this week in Sebastian County Circuit Court.
