• Richmond Police Officer Released from Hospital After Being Shot (contracosta.news) — El Cerrito residents should know their local police department helped Richmond officers safely resolve a dangerous barricaded-shooter incident where a Richmond officer was wounded but is now recovering at home. Multiple agencies, including El Cerrito Police, used armored vehicles, negotiations, and chemical agents to evacuate neighbors and take the suspect into custody without further injuries.
