Music for Minors II (MFMII) proudly presents the fourth edition of MFMII’s Got Talent (MGT) – Season 4, an exciting inter-school virtual talent competition designed to celebrate creativity, confidence, and musical excellence among elementary school students.
This much-loved annual event gives young performers the opportunity to shine by showcasing their talents in singing, dancing, or playing a musical instrument, all from the comfort of their own homes.

The contest is open to students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Grade 5 from schools located in:
- Fremont
- Newark
- Milpitas
- Castro Valley
Students may participate:

- Individually, or
- As a small group of 2–6 participants
For the purpose of judging, participants will be divided into two categories: Junior (Grades TK to 1) and Senior (Grades 2 to 5). Please select the category that best represents your students. For group performances, if a group includes participants from both upper and lower grades, they must be register in the Senior category.
Performance Categories
Participants may showcase one or more of the following talents:
- Singing
- Dancing
- Instrumental Performance
Performances may be based on Music for Minors II’s repertoire, syllabus, and musical concepts, which align with state curriculum standards. Students may also choose any age-appropriate, school-approved music. Appropriate attire is required, especially for dance performances. Costumes should be modest, age-appropriate, and suitable for recording on video. Parents are encouraged to be the first judges; guiding, coaching, and motivating their children throughout the process.
Entry details & submission guidelines
- Participation Fee: $15 per student per category (Applies to individual and group performances)
- Video Length: Maximum of 120 seconds (2 minutes) per entry
- Submission Deadline: Sunday, February 1, 2026 11:59 PM (PST)
- Submission Format: Upload the video to a personal YouTube account . Submit the YouTube link via the appropriate entry formImportant: Each category requires a separate entry form and fee.
If multiple entries are submitted for the same category, only the latest submission will be considered.
Individual Performers
- Complete the Individual Entry Form
- Submit the YouTube video link of the performance
- Pay the $15 participation fee per student, per category
Small Group Performers (2-6 students)
- One parent/guardian completes the Group Entry Form on behalf of the group
- Submit a single YouTube video link for the group performance
- Pay the $15 participation fee per student, per category
All submissions must be completed by February 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM (PST).
Judging, Awards & Recognition
- A distinguished jury panel of veteran docents and trained musicians and performers will review all eligible submissions.
- All participants will receive a Participation Certificate.
- Top winners in each category will receive awards.
Awards Ceremony
Winners will be honored during MFMII’s Annual Fundraising Concert, featuring Grammy Award Nominee Red Grammer.
Venue: Ohlone College Smith Center, Fremont
Date: Friday, March 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM
The concert will also feature: MFMII Kids Choir & MFMII Kinder Choir.
Public Voting
Shortlisted submissions will be showcased on the MFMII’s Got Talent website: www.musicforminors2.org/gottalent

Families and friends are encouraged to share and vote. Winners of the Popular Choice Awards will also be announced at the MGT Concert.
