1. 12K Cigarettes Stolen From Livermore Business: Police (patch.com) — Livermore police say three Oakland residents stole about 12,000 cigarettes from a business on Old First Street, equivalent to roughly 600 packs. Officers tracked the suspects' vehicle onto I-580, coordinated with CHP for a stop near 164th Avenue, and arrested all three on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy.
   

2. Livermore Man Accused Of Setting 2 Fires Totaling 6K Square Feet (patch.com) — A Livermore officer discovered two sizable fires burning in a vacant field near North Murrieta Boulevard and Portola Avenue and detained a local man allegedly walking away with a torch. The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department quickly contained the blaze, which scorched about 6,000 square feet of dry grass but spared nearby structures.
   

3. LPFD Fire Station No. 6 overhaul to begin next year – temporarily relocating Centennial Light Bulb (pleasantonweekly.com) — Livermore's oldest fire station on East Avenue will be demolished and rebuilt starting next August, temporarily moving the famous Centennial Light Bulb while keeping fire service operating on-site. The new Fire Station No. 6 will add modern safety features, more space, and a dedicated display area for the 125-year-old bulb, with construction expected to last about two years.
   

4. Livermore High teacher Fletcher launches bid for Pleasanton school board (livermorevine.com) — A Livermore High School engineering and robotics teacher, Karen Fletcher, is running this November for Pleasanton Unified's Trustee Area 5 seat, emphasizing fiscal transparency, teacher support, and educational equity. She highlights budget experience from Livermore High and NASA, and points to recent racist incidents as reasons to strengthen safety and inclusivity across nearby schools.
