• Coroner identifies Palm Desert man killed in Highway 74 crash (bluewaterhealthyliving.com) — A 57-year-old Palm Desert man, Luis Guerrero, died Saturday morning when his motorcycle left Highway 74 near milepost 89 and hit a guardrail on the mountain route linking Palm Desert with Pinyon communities. CHP investigators say he was ejected and died at the scene, and they do not suspect alcohol or drugs in the crash.
