Officials set turf closure schedule for a dozen city parks ⋆ The Palm Springs Post (thepalmspringspost.com) — Palm Springs is temporarily closing turf areas at 12 city parks on a rotating schedule between September 20 and December 23 so crews can reseed and irrigate the grass. Playgrounds, trails, and most other amenities will stay open, but fenced turf sections will be off-limits during each park's specific closure window. Residents are asked to follow posted signs and can call Parks & Recreation for details.

- Went to Pioneertown to view the meteor shower last week.
Dud, cloudy all night.....but our stay at the Pioneer Motel was sublime. Extremely pleasant well-renovated rustic motel (no TV!) with great views of… (Nextdoor Vista Norte) - Bob Cat in back yard.
