Officials set turf closure schedule for a dozen city parks ⋆ The Palm Springs Post (thepalmspringspost.com) — Palm Springs is temporarily closing turf areas at 12 city parks on a rotating schedule between September 20 and December 23 so crews can reseed and irrigate the grass. Playgrounds, trails, and most other amenities will stay open, but fenced turf sections will be off-limits during each park's specific closure window. Residents are asked to follow posted signs and can call Parks & Recreation for details.

Showing September 20th Lesbians in Boystown Brings West Hollywood's Lesbian History to Cinema Diverse 2026 (hollywoodtimes.net) — Palm Springs film lovers can catch the documentary "Lesbians in Boystown" twice during this year's Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival at the Palm Springs Cultural Center on Baristo Road. The 27-minute film explores the overlooked role of lesbians in shaping West Hollywood's political and nightlife history, and its creators hope to inspire younger LGBTQ+ audiences to build on that legacy.
