• PUSD celebrates TK/K expansion projects at Fairlands, Donlon elementary schools (pleasantonweekly.com) — Pleasanton families with young children will see big changes at Fairlands and Donlon, where new TK and kindergarten classrooms, playgrounds, and site upgrades are now open. Funded by Measures I and I1, these age‑appropriate spaces are designed to better support 4‑ and 5‑year‑olds as they begin school. District leaders say the projects reflect voter support and years of planning and construction.
   

• Pleasanton poised to rezone three sites for almost 1,500 new housing units after settlement agreement (pleasantonweekly.com) — Pleasanton's Planning Commission has recommended rezoning three Hacienda-area commercial sites for high‑density housing, potentially allowing nearly 1,500 new units if developers build there. The move fulfills a settlement with a housing advocacy coalition that challenged the city's Housing Element, and the City Council is expected to consider final approval on Oct. 20. No specific construction projects are proposed yet, but the land-use changes could significantly reshape nearby neighborhoods.
