Redlands Mall asbestos abatement continues ahead of demolition (communityforwardredlands.com) — Work is underway inside the former Redlands Mall to remove asbestos and address structural challenges around the CVS building ahead of demolition, though the city still has no firm teardown date. Officials say no revised redevelopment plans have been submitted, while other downtown housing projects like City Center and The Grand continue moving through plan check. 
2. Redlands City Council to consider new limits on warehouse development (communityforwardredlands.com) — Redlands officials will vote Tuesday on banning most new large warehouses while still allowing existing facilities limited expansion, and will also launch the new Redlands Housing Corporation. The council will consider more than $600,000 in homelessness funding, key infrastructure contracts, and support for upcoming community events, with both in-person and Zoom options for residents to participate.
3. 1-year-old hospitalized after falling into Redlands hotel pool (communityforwardredlands.com) — A 1-year-old is recovering in stable condition after falling into a pool at a Redlands hotel, where family and first responders quickly intervened. This week's police roundup also details a teen scooter collision, a restaurant robbery, a pharmacy burglary, and two DUI-related arrests across various Redlands neighborhoods.
4. Redlands Lincoln Memorial is a lesser-known history treasure (cbsnews.com) — Tucked in downtown Redlands, the Lincoln Memorial Shrine offers a rare, Western U.S. museum devoted entirely to Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. Locals can explore original manuscripts, a unique Lincoln bust, powerful slavery exhibits, and annual cannon reenactments that connect national history to Redlands' own cultural landscape.
