Residential Fire: None injured in South Pasadena blaze (pasadenaweekly.com) — A recent house fire on the 2000 block of Meridian Avenue in South Pasadena was quickly contained by local and neighboring fire departments, and no one was injured. Crews stopped the flames from spreading to nearby homes, and officials are asking anyone with information about the August 31 blaze to contact the South Pasadena Fire Department.

Twenty-Five Years Later, South Pasadena Still Says Their Names (southpasadenan.com) — South Pasadena will hold a 25th anniversary 9/11 remembrance Friday morning at City Hall, honoring local victims Sue, Peter, and Christine Hanson with a flag-lowering and regional moment of silence. Residents are invited to the brief, free ceremony, which aims to pass the memory of that day to a new generation while connecting local stories to national observances.

South Pasadena to Host Workshop on Planning for Aging Parents (coloradoboulevard.net) — South Pasadena families caring for aging parents can attend a free planning workshop on September 23 at the South Pasadena Senior Center, with Dial-A-Ride rides available by reservation.
