Harrison School District 2 alleges immigration officials approached Turman Elementary students walking to school (krdo.com) — Families near Turman Elementary in Colorado Springs are being reassured after students reported being aggressively approached by armed men claiming to be immigration officials during Friday morning drop-off. Harrison School District 2 briefly secured the campus, is seeking answers from authorities, and says the incident left many students feeling unsafe and some parents keeping children home.
   

3. Colorado Springs authorizes up to $225 million in utility bond refinancing (thebadger.news) — Colorado Springs residents should know that City Council has authorized refinancing up to $225 million in existing utility bonds, aiming to lower debt costs or reduce financial risk. The measure, passed unanimously, keeps repayment tied only to Utilities System revenues, not the city's general fund, and gives officials flexibility to act when market conditions are favorable.
   

4. Colorado Springs Expansion to Front Range Commuter Train on the November Ballot (thecatalystnews.com) — Colorado Springs voters will help decide in November whether to fund a Front Range commuter train extension that would bring service to the city by 2032.
