Roadwork To Affect 3 Canton Roads Through Late October
The trio of roads in Canton will be impacted by closures, detours, and delays.
CANTON, CT — Motorists traveling on three Canton roads should prepare for possible closures, detours and delays as roadwork continues through the end of October.
Crews are working on portions of Hanson Road, Barbourtown Road and Triangle Road, according to the Town of Canton.
Work is scheduled to take place approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is weather permitting.

The affected areas are:
- Hanson Road: From Bunker Hill Road to Barbourtown Road.
- Barbourtown Road: From Wright Road to Greystone.
- Triangle Road: From Barbourtown Road to Wright Road.
Emergency vehicles and school buses will be allowed to travel through the work areas, town officials said.

All other motorists should be prepared for possible delays, road closures or detours while construction is underway.
The town is asking drivers to use caution around crews and equipment.
Work is expected to continue through the end of October 2026.
