• Back To School: Hamden 2026-27 School Calendar (patch.com) — Families in Hamden can now plan for the 2026-27 school year, with students set to return to Hamden Public Schools on Monday, August 31. The district calendar outlines key no-school days for holidays, professional development, and recesses, plus a projected last student day of June 15. Residents are encouraged to review the full calendar as some dates may change.
   

• Man shot and wounded at Bridgeport complex, site of earlier fatal shooting (nhregister.com) — A Hamden man previously killed at Bridgeport's P.T. Barnum Apartments was remembered the same day another man was critically wounded in a new shooting at the complex. Police are investigating whether the incidents are connected and are asking anyone with information about Saturday's gunfire to contact Detective Elizabeth Santora.
