• Meeting Set On Planned Changes To Route 15 In Hamden (patch.com) — Hamden residents are being invited to a September public meeting at the Hamden Government Center to learn about major safety and mobility upgrades planned for Route 15 Exit 51 and Whitney Avenue. State transportation officials will outline proposed ramp, signal, sidewalk, and pedestrian improvements, discuss minor property impacts, and explain the timeline for the $28 million project expected to start in 2028.
   

• Sicksense (Ex-The Agonist, Ex-Stuck Mojo) Book a North American Tour - New EP Incoming (ghostcultmag.com subscription) — Metal band Sicksense is bringing its November North American tour to Space Ballroom in Hamden, giving local heavy-music fans a chance to see them live close to home. The tour supports their upcoming EP "Funerals," due out September 25, and includes multiple support slots with well-known metal acts.
   

• Younger Toure to play at Notre Dame-West Haven this season (ctpost.com) — A standout guard is transferring from Hamden Hall Country Day to play boys basketball at Notre Dame–West Haven, shifting a rising talent out of Hamden's private-school program. The family cites both academics and tougher CIAC competition as reasons, with strong ties to Notre Dame's coach and program history.
