• Hidden for years, this forgotten Middletown park is getting a second chance (nhregister.com) — Roosevelt Park in Middletown's North End is finally slated for major cleanup and upgrades, including a new access road and rebuilt basketball court funded through the 2025 infrastructure bond. City crews have already begun clearing trash and abandoned vehicles, with plans to improve lighting and create a path linking the area to the future Midden Lookout Park and Trails.
   

• No. 1 Men's Soccer Kicks Off 2026 With 2-0 NESCAC Victory Over Trinity (Conn.) (gotuftsjumbos.com) — Tufts men's soccer will be in Middletown this Wednesday night, taking on Wesleyan at 7 p.m. in a NESCAC matchup. The Jumbos come in ranked No. 1 nationally after opening their season with a 2-0 win over Trinity, setting up an early test for local fans to catch in person.
   

• Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTMEETINGS) Names New Director of Sports Sales/Chief Marketing Officer (businessdailynetwork.com) — From an office based in Middletown, the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau has hired longtime college athletics marketer Christopher Grosse as its new Director of Sports Sales and Chief Marketing Officer. He'll work to attract more sports events and related meetings to venues across Connecticut, aiming to boost tourism revenue, hotel stays, and local hospitality jobs statewide.
