Ridgefield Voters To Decide Senior Tax Relief Changes, Town Property Sale At Sept. 16 Meeting (patch.com subscription) — Ridgefield residents are being asked to weigh in Wednesday on major changes to senior property tax relief, town pension oversight, and the fate of two town-owned properties. The 7:30 p.m. Special Town Meeting at Town Hall will cover raising income limits for elderly tax deferrals, revising senior tax credits, selling 29 Lakeview Drive, and accepting open space on Mamanasco Road.

Ridgefield to rewrite proposed gas-powered leaf blower restrictions after public backlash (nhregister.com) — Ridgefield officials have pulled a proposed gas-powered leaf blower ordinance from this week's Town Meeting agenda after strong public feedback, and will now rewrite it before another vote later this year. The Board of Selectpersons plans to consult landscapers, residents, and environmental and health advocates to clarify confusing language and seek a compromise on summer noise and pollution concerns.
