Cornerstone Issues Desperate Plea For Water Donations As Less-Fortunate Residents Battle Heat
Cornerstone needs water donations during the heat wave.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon-based Cornerstone Foundation has issued a desperate plea for bottled water with a heat wave fully descended on north central Connecticut.
Gov. Ned Lamont has activated extreme hot weather protocol for Tuesday through Sunday.
Cornerstone runs both a homeless shelter and soup kitchen.

"Our supply of bottled water is very low and we need your help," official said in a message to the public.
Donations of bottled water are being accepted at 3 Prospect St. in the Rockville section of Vernon from 9am to 5 p.m. daily.
