Vernon Flower Sale To Help The Community

VERNON, CT — Folks looking to score points with both their family and their community might want to visit a local coffee roaster starting this week.

Vernon-based Opportunity Works Connecticut will debut a new flower bouquet bar at Vernon Coffee Roasters on Thursday, Aug. 13, with proceeds benefiting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Floral & Gifts of OWC Bouquet Bar will open at 9 a.m. at Vernon Coffee Roasters, 520 Hartford Turnpike.

Visitors will be able to select flowers and have a designer create a custom bouquet.

The bouquet bar will remain available while supplies last and based on demand, according to Opportunity Works Connecticut.

The event is being presented by Floral & Gifts of OWC Too, an initiative of Opportunity Works Connecticut.

Customers can also purchase coffee and other items from Vernon Coffee Roasters during the event.

Opportunity Works Connecticut said proceeds from the bouquet bar will benefit individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
