• Suspect Attacks Wethersfield Gas Station Cashier, Police Investigating (patch.com) — Wethersfield residents are being urged to help police after a gas station cashier on Silas Deane Highway was robbed when a man ripped a gold chain from his neck and fled. Officers, aided by a Middletown K-9 team, searched the area Wednesday night but did not find the suspect, and detectives are now asking anyone with information to call them.

• State officials urge drivers to pay attention as school buses return to the road (wfsb.com) — With school buses back on Connecticut roads, officials speaking from Wethersfield are warning drivers that penalties are now tougher for illegally passing a stopped bus, including steep fines and possible license suspension after repeated violations. The DMV, based in Wethersfield, is also inspecting thousands of buses to ensure they meet strict safety standards before students ride.
