Florida city puts a $100 price on feeding iguanas after 3-2 council vote (thecooldown.com) — Boca Raton residents who feed backyard wildlife now risk a $100 citation if their food attracts large groups of iguanas, rats, mice, or pigeons, following a close 3–2 City Council vote. Bird feeders and feral cats are exempt, but officials say the targeted ordinance responds to nuisance complaints and aims to curb property damage from invasive animals around local homes.
   

3. Boca Raton Firefighters Clearing One I-95 Crash Get Hit in a Second (bocaratontribune.com) — Boca Raton residents should know that three city firefighters were hospitalized after their fire truck was rear-ended on I-95 southbound Wednesday morning while they were clearing an earlier crash. The driver who struck the truck was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert, and the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating while officials have not yet released names or potential charges.
   

4. Boca Raton pair charged in human trafficking case involving disabled victim (wpbf.com) — Two Boca Raton residents are being held without bond after investigators say they exploited a disabled adult in a human trafficking case tied to online "foot fetish" ads and solicitations near a local middle school. Boca Raton and Boynton Beach police collaborated on the investigation, and advocates stress how traffickers often prey on people's vulnerabilities.
   

5. Hometown Hero: Morgan Pressel (bocamag.com) — Boca Raton Regional Hospital's MammoVans and cancer genetics center owe much to golfer-turned-analyst Morgan Pressel, whose foundation funds local breast cancer screening and outreach. Her work has helped screen thousands of South Florida women and expand services that focus on early detection and support for underserved communities, with more initiatives planned with Boca Regional.
