1. Florida gas prices see big drop since last week, AAA says (orlandosentinel.com) — Drivers in Panama City are now seeing some of Florida's cheapest gas, with prices around $3.93 a gallon as statewide averages fall to $4.06. AAA credits a recent drop in oil prices, helped by G7 reserve releases and improved Middle East exports, for the 36-cent decline over the last 10 days.

2. Southwest adds 3 flights at Pittsburgh International Airport, including new destination (triblive.com) — Panama City will become a new nonstop destination from Pittsburgh International Airport next summer, potentially bringing more visitors to our Gulf Coast community. Southwest will run Saturday flights starting June 5, 2027, expanding the airline's Florida network and tapping into strong demand from Pittsburgh travelers heading to the state's panhandle beaches.

3. Lynn Haven's free Fall Concert Series was revived. Here's the line up (bradenton.com) — Lynn Haven's free Fall Concert Series is back this week, with shows at Sharon J. Sheffield Park featuring local country and rock artists, food trucks, and a vendor market. 4. DHS Blasts Biden Over Report Linking Visa Overstays to Violent Crime (internewscast.com) — A federal watchdog report on visa overstays highlights a case in Panama City, where a Jamaican national allegedly stabbed two Burger King employees after his authorized stay expired. The incident is one of three serious crimes cited as DHS leadership criticizes the Biden administration's handling of millions of overstay leads and a small number of resulting arrests.
